Inspectorate for Environmental Protection to cooperate with similar structure in Romania
Chisinau, Dec. 29 / MOLDPRES /- The Environmental Protection Inspectorate will work institutionally with the Romanian National Environmental Guard.
The head of the inspectorate, Ion Bulmaga, had a videoconference meeting yesterday with Romanian counterpart, general commissioner of the Romanian National Environmental Guard Marioara Gatej.
In the framework of the exchange of views on environmental issues, both at national and international level, such as waste management, transboundary poaching on the banks of the Prut River, it was agreed to initiate cooperation at the institutional level in order to organize exchange of experience and transfer of good practices.
The two officials also reviewed the main development objectives of the institutions, as state control and supervision bodies, in order to prevent and counteract environmental violations, emphasizing the need to sign a collaboration agreement.
The Commissioner General of the Romanian National Environmental Guard expressed his openness to dialogue and confirmed his willingness to provide all necessary support.Ion Bulmaga reiterated the invitation to his counterpart to pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova, agreeing to organize it at the beginning of next year.
