LIVE // Event dedicated to Flag Day of Moldova

The Republic of Moldova today marks 35 years since the adoption of the Tricolor flag — a symbol of the country’s sovereignty, independence and national identity.

The tricolor was officially designated as the State Flag of Moldova by the lawmakers of the first parliament in 1990 and the Flag Day was established on April 27, 2010.

Annually, on Flag Day, an official ceremony takes place outside the government building, featuring a guard of honor and the presidential orchestra.
