Moldova to receive over 7 million euros from Japan to strengthen medical system
Chisinau, Aug. 17 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration signed today with Ambassador of Japan to Chisinau Katayama Yoshihiro an Agreement between the Governments of the Republic of Moldova and Japan on implementation of the Program for strengthening the medical system in our country.
The document sees the provision of high-performance medical equipment to five republican hospitals.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Japanese people for their support and support, including in the context of the situation in Ukraine.
The Japanese diplomat mentioned that the decision to come with financial support for the healthcare system in the Republic of Moldova was taken after the start of the war in Ukraine and he was impressed by the way the authorities and citizens of the Republic of Moldova reacted in the context of the large wave of refugees.
