Moldovan MPs stand silent for one minute in memory of victims of war in Ukraine

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - The today’s parliament meeting started with MPs standing silent for one minute in the memory of the victims of the war in Ukraine.

”The most tragic thing is that the war makes victims innocent people. Our people have always been and will be with those in misfortune. We keep a close eye with worry and grief in souls what is happening in Ukraine and we will do our utmost, as a country, as people, to help the victims,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.

According to official statistics, almost 400,000 Ukrainians have taken refuge in Moldova, of whom over 100,000 remain on the country’s territory for the moment.
