
Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- 97 per cent of teachers working in the capital's educational institutions are vaccinated.
Acting head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health of the Chisinau Municipal Council Boris Gâlcă said at today's meeting of the municipal services that 97 percent of teachers are immunized.
The official said that the Directorate procured enough tests to detect the COVID-19 virus to check, at the beginning of the educational process, all teachers. "The tests purchased on the basis of the public tender will arrive in Chisinau in two weeks and will be distributed in educational institutions. The testing will be free ", said Gâlcă.
At the same time, he specified that the main problem of health institutions in Chisinau is related to the lack of oxygen sources and antiviral preparations. "We asked the Ministry of Health to help us in this regard," he said.
Gâlcă announced that the Chisinau City Hall will continue in November the vaccination project of the city's inhabitants in the mobile vaccination points, reminding that the city is in red epidemiological alert code, and the best way to prevent coronavirus infection is vaccination .
