Number of 30 classes went into self-isolation in Chisinau
Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/- Specialists note a growing trend of COVID-19 infection in educational institutions in the capital.
Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici said at the online meeting of the municipal services of Chisinau city hall today that in the first week of activity of schools and high schools in Chisinau, in 21 institutions there were cases of coronavirus infection, and 30 classes went into self-isolation. "Specialists note a growing trend of COVID-19 infection in educational institutions", the official said.
Custasevici said out of the 148 municipal educational institutions, 35 chose the first activity scenario - their managers requesting the physical presence of pupils in school.
According to the official, 92,863 pupils are enrolled in municipal educational institutions, and attendance rate is 95 percent.
