
Over 32,000 travel cards for public transport from Chisinau sold during ten days
Chisinau, 4 July /MOLDPRES/ - Over 32,000 new travels cards for public transport from Moldova’s capital were sold in the first ten days after the beginning of their commercialization. The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, made statements to this effect at a today’s operative meeting of the municipal services.
According to Ceban, the best sold travel cards are the ones for six months, followed by the travel cards for one month and those for three months. ‘’Next week, about 35,000 travel cards for the pupils of the I-IV forms will be submitted. At the same time, the travel cards will be submitted also to other categories which benefit from facilities at purchasing. We will also increase the number of sale points,’’ Ion Ceban said.
The price of one travel card is 234 lei for one month, 594 lei for three months and 972 lei for six months. The placement of the points of selling travel cards can be accessed both on the website of the Chisinau Electric Transport Administration and on the site of the Urban Park of Buses.
According to data by the city hall, the number of passengers in the public transport from Chisinau increased by seven per cent against the same period of the last year. At the same time, the authorities informed about the supply of more bus routes on the itineraries where an increased flow of passengers is recorded.
