Over 400 firefighters to be on duty in Moldova on Easter Night
More than 400 firefighters and rescuers, with over 100 intervention units, will be mobilized to prevent and promptly respond to emergency situations on Easter Night.
To prevent fires, especially on Easter Night, when open flames, candles, and candlesticks are used, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) recommends that special attention is given to the use of candles and candlesticks - they should only be used in specially arranged places, away from combustible objects and supervised at all times.
Also, supervising children can prevent risky situations - playing with holy fire, candles, and matches are prohibited.
At the same time, during religious services and while being in places of worship, people are urged to avoid crowds, not block evacuation routes and not park improperly near churches, in order to provide access for emergency vehicles in case of an emergency.
Firefighters urge priests and church clerics to check stoves, chimneys and electrical installations, and premises should be well-ventilated. Also, endowing places of worship with rapid intervention tools (extinguishers, fireproof blankets, etc.) is mandatory.
In risky situations, people are asked to call the Service 112.
On April 20, the Christians will celebrate Easter.
