Over 600 educations use electronic register in Moldova
Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - Over 600 general education institutions from Moldova use the electronic register, which means that about 86,000 parents have access to online data about the daily record of the academic performance and attendance of their children.
The Education and Research Ministry (MEC) informed that 104 schools out of 605 institutions which had switched to this system filled in exclusively the electronic register, giving up the variant on paper. The application is used by an overall number of 85,973 parents.
Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun urged all education institutions which had not implemented this system as yet to submit an official application to the ministry, in order to benefit from the electronic register in the next school year. Moreover, the schools which have already been using this platform for at least one year have possibility to fully give up the traditional register, according to official instructions.
The electronic register is a web application and can be accessed from any device which has access to Internet. The system was piloted at 190 general education institutions starting from the 2020-2021 academic year.
