Prosecutors make new raid at office of suspended Moldovan prosecutor general
Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - The group carrying out the criminal prosecution in the case of charge of Alexandr Stoianoglo today makes the on-site investigation in the office where Stoianoglo worked while exercising the mandate of Prosecutor General.
According to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, the need to carry out this criminal prosecution action was prompted by the evidence produced so far within the investigations carried out by prosecutors. In particular, prosecutors examine the parts of the office’s furniture, where acts and documents belonging to Stoianoglo remained.
Alexandr Stoianoglo was suspended from the office of Prosecutor General on 5 October 2021. Subsequently, prosecutor Victor Furtuna asked the court for 30 days of arrest for Stoianoglo.
