Several rest platforms installed at three crossing points of Moldovan-Romanian border
Chisinau, June 17 / MOLDPRES /- The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has installed rest and recreation platforms for truck drivers at three Moldovan border crossings, which are in the waiting columns for the completion of customs procedures.
According to IGSU, these are the crossing points of Leușeni, Giurgiulești and Sculeni. On the installed platforms, drivers can benefit from drinking water, can rest in tents, have access to the necessary conditions of hygiene, sanitary block, food, qualified first aid and means of communication.
At the same time, in the tents located on the platforms, people are offered the opportunity to prepare their food, and to rest on the folding beds placed inside. In order for the installed platforms to be fully operational, the local public authorities are ready to provide sewer cleaning services.
IGSU was supported by the UNHCR Refugee Agency, which provided lighting and power supplies for electronic equipment that could be used by drivers when stationed and located on islands.
The activity of the rest platforms will be carried out as long as there are requests.
