State Roads Administration to be reorganized into Joint Stock Company
Chisinau, April 12 /MOLDPRES/- State Roads Administration is to be reorganized into National Roads Administration Joint Stock Company with full state capital. A draft law was approved by the parliamentary committee on economy, budget and finance today.
According to the document, the reorganization will be carried out in three stages. At the first stage, the evaluation of the patrimony of State Administration of Roads, in the second - the consolidation of shareholdings through the procurement by the state of privately owned shareholdings, and the last stage involves the absorption of joint-stock companies specialized in the maintenance of public roads.
In order to ensure transparency on how the Road Fund means are distributed and how they are used, the amendments assume that the local public authorities of the second level will be obliged to display in public places and place on website the Fund Distribution Program the road fund for local public roads of district (municipal) interest and the report on the use of road fund funds.
The draft law is to be put to the vote in the plenary session of the Legislature.
