Tender for working out Chisinau's General Urban Plan to be re-launched
Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall will launch a new procedure of procurement for the working out of the General Urban Plan.
The deputy head of the architecture department of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Igor Vrabie, at a today’s CMC meeting, said that the city hall last week had disqualified from the competitions of acquisitions those two consortiums which applied for the elaboration of Chisinau’s General Urban Plan.
According to the official, as principal element of disqualification was the fact that the two competitors did not elaborate the documentations of urbanism for cities with a population larger than 500,000 residents. ‘’A new procedure of procurement will be launched. After the company is selected, it will have at its disposal 18 months for the document’s elaboration,’’ Vrabie noted.
At the same time, the quoted source said that the tender for the elaboration of the Chisinau municipality’s General Urban Plan was international and did not limit the participation of native companies in it; yet, the latter have limited experience in the working out of such comprehensive projects.
