Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/- The National Public Health Agency will establish and publish weekly the degree of public health alert in the main localities, following that the local public administration will establish the prevention measures against COVID-19.
Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco presented today the new measures approved at the meeting of the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health. Thus, it was decided to maintain the physical presence of students and teachers in the classrooms for primary, secondary and high school education and to transfer the activity of higher education institutions online. “The largest municipalities in the Republic of Moldova, especially the cities of Chisinau and Balti are on the red threshold of COVID-19. Therefore, the members of the Extraordinary National Commission of Public Health decided to ask the employers that where possible the work should be carried out remotely, and it was established to transfer the studies from universities online, "said Nemerenco.
According to the minister, the National Agency for Public Health will establish and publish at the beginning of each week the degree of alert for the main localities in the Republic of Moldova. "The Commission has granted a high degree of flexibility to the local public administration, which, depending on the alert level announced by ANSP, will establish its own preventive measures against COVID-19," Nemerenco said.
At the same time, the official urged citizens to get vaccinated. "All data show that 90-95 percent of coronavirus patients are unvaccinated. I urge people to get vaccinated. We will soon make public a series of facilities for those who decide to get vaccinated ", she said.
