Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Iurie Leanca attended the inauguration of a centre for orphans and children with disabilities in Sarata Galbena village, central Hincesti district, today. The institution provides full placement, accommodation and meals to 25 children, out of which 15 with special needs, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.

The centre was created with the support of the Norwegian Christian Television. The institution's headquarters is located in an old kindergarten, which was fully restored. The local authorities contributed by building the access road to the centre.

Leanca thanked the donors for providing financial assistance for this initiative. „It is a great thing, as, unfortunately, only with the state's help, these children will not benefit from harmonious inclusion. It is necessary to involve society. This is why, this centre is so important for the community and the support of foreign partners – for the entire country. I am confident that these children will benefit from the best accommodation, as well as warmth,” Leanca said.

In his speech, the bishop of the Union of Pentecostal Christian Churches in Moldova, Victor Pavlovschi, highlighted that, even in a rich country, those in need could not overcome problems without the community's support.

Also in Sarata Galbena, Leanca visited an asylum, where 50 old people from all over Moldova, including from the Transnistrian region, are accommodated in very good conditions. Iurie Leanca discussed with the asylum's managers about the ways by which the state could contribute to remove problems they faced in their work.
