Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - A 24-year-old young man was detained on 16 November evening, after he had alerted the police and threatened to blow up the government building.
The call was made at about 13:30, after which the government employees were evacuated, and policemen along with Bombtech teams during two hours checked the government building, but did not find anything suspect.
The spokesman for the Chisinau city police, Adrian Jovmir, has told MOLDPRES that the man had demanded that the tickets for cable railway, connecting the Buiucani and Sculeni districts of Chisinau, unfunctional since 1992, "should be 0.75 lei, otherwise, he will blow up the government building."
Presently, the Chisinau-born young man was detained and is heard by law-enforcers. The youth recognized his deed, specifying that "he has no connection with the cable railway from Calea Iesilor of the capital, yet the cable railway should be functional and the travel fare should be 0.75 lei."
The man is prosecuted at large and runs the risk to be fined with 10,000 lei or to be imprisoned for up to two years.
