Draft law on Moldovan Constitution's amendment included on agenda of parliament

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The draft law on the amendment of Article 70 of Moldova’s Constitution has been included on the agenda of the parliament’s plenary meetings due on 24-31 March. Also, the Standing Bureau, at a today’s meeting, ruled on the non-participation of the Moldovan parliament’s official delegation in the events organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.    

The reason is the harassment of Moldovan officials by certain Russian authorities. The decision was taken with the majority of the votes of the Standing Bureau members. Representatives of the factions of Party of Socialists (PSRM) and Party of Communists (PCRM) did not back this proposal. At the same time, the head of the PSRM faction informed that the Socialist MPs would go the event on their own account.    

Other drafts included in the agenda of the parliament’s plenary meetings from 24-31 March are the following: a draft decision on the appointment to the office of director of the Administrative Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency   (ANRE); a draft law on integrity, which is to be discussed in the second reading; a draft law on the agency on recovery of assets gained by criminal means, in the second reading. Also, several drafts will be considered on a string of amendments and completions concerning the financial and banking sector, including the guaranteeing of private persons’ deposits in the banking system.    

A report of the special commission for optimizing the legislative framework on children’s nourishment in the pre-school and education institutions was also included on the parliament’s agenda for the next period.
