Bus terminal from north-west Moldova town modernized

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - The bus terminal from the north-western Falesti town has been modernized for the first time in the last 40 years. The project was carried out as a result of a public-private partnership, within which another bus terminals from Moldova will be restored in 2019.  

The renovation works on an area of more than 5,000 square metres started in last April, with investments worth about 3.5 million lei turned to account. “The bus terminal’s territory was asphalted with two layers, new kerb stones were set and the platform was arranged, on which special marking lines were set. The pavement was changed on an area of 260 square metres. At the same time, works of repair of the networks of evacuation of rain waters, sewerage networks and electric nets were carried out,” according to the enterprise, Gările Auto Moderne (The modern bus terminals).  

The bus terminal from Falesti serves more than 200 courses, of which 101 suburban ones, 71 inter-urban courses and 45 international ones. “Efforts have been made to create friendly conditions for passengers, enterprise’s employees, as well as for economic agents, providers of taxi services, who are offered properly arranged rooms,” the quoted source said.    

The Gările Auto Moderne enterprise stressed that the modernization of the bus terminal from Falesti would not influence the cost of the travel tickets.  

The enterprise this year is to modernize another four bus terminals from the district centres of Soroca, Glodeni, Calarasi and Straseni. At the same time, works of designing and preparing objects for construction are carried out at the bus terminals from Orhei, Cahul, South-West bus terminal from Chisinau.
