European Union's financial support remains accessible for Moldova

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Moldova Dragos Tudorache, in an interview for Radio Chisinau, has said that the European Union’s financial support was still accessible for Moldova.    

The European official stressed that consequences might appears, only if Moldova’s  political signals and actions showed an estrangement from the commitments taken  through the signing of the Association Agreement.  

„The way the Moldovan government manages to guarantee the free political expressing of all forces involved in the political and electoral processes in 2020, an electoral year, is one of the important factors of analysis of the way the democratic manifestations and mechanisms work in Moldova,” Dragos Tudorache emphasized. 

At the same time, the MEP remains optimistic about Moldova’s European future.

„I further believe in Moldova’s chances to get closer to EU, as Chisinau is already in a privileged and beneficial relation with the European Union area,” the European official said.
