
Airline launches direct flights from Chisinau Airport to Tivat, Alicante
The FLYONE airline will operate direct flights to the city of Tivat, Montenegro, starting from 8 June. The Chisinau International Airport today made statements to this effect.
According to the airport, flights will be made three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
At the same time, starting from 7 June, FLYONE has been operates direct flights to Alicante, Spain. Thus, in June, people will be able to travel to this destination on Saturdays. Additionally, beginning with next July, there will be three flights a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Since the last spring, the airline SkyUp Airlines has been operating flights to Alicante, each Monday and Friday.
Travel tickets can be purchased on the airlines' websites.
In the beginning of this year, the airport’s administration informed that the flight network of the Chisinau International Airport would be expanded in 2025 with ten new destinations: Bremen, Alicante, Thessaloniki, Palma de Mallorca, Katowice, Copenhagen, Lyon, Paris Orly, Turin, and Wroclaw.
Also, last year, the airport's flight schedule was supplemented with 14 new destinations. They include: Budapest, Cologne, Riga, Istanbul Sabiha, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Enfidha, Manchester, Prague, Abu Dhabi, Brussels Charleroi, Dortmund, Memmingen and Nuremberg.
The Chisinau International Airport ranks among the top-performing airports in Europe in the category of 1 - 10 million passengers per year. The growth is supported by the expansion of the route network and the number of airlines, which has evolved from 20 in 2022 to 33 in 2024.
