Government approves Regulation on activity of Family Justice Center
Chisinau, March 29 /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet approved today the frame-Regulation and minimum activity standards of the first integrated assistance center for victims of domestic violence and sexual violence. It is to be opened in early June, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The Family Justice Center (CJF) is set up after similar centers in European countries and the United States of America. Within it, the prompt and efficient documentation of cases of violence will be ensured, and the process will be carried out in close collaboration between the representatives of law enforcement bodies and specialists from other institutions - forensic doctors, psychologists, lawyers, social workers. In this sense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to sign cooperation agreements with the local public administration bodies and other authorities, as well as with service providers.
Through its form of organization, the CJF will represent a subdivision of the General Police Inspectorate, with a continuous activity regime (24/24, 7 days a week). Public and private institutions will delegate specialists to the center to provide complex assistance to victims of violence. For the operationalization of the center, about 5,940.8 thousand lei were provided in the state budget for 2023.
