President Maia Sandu today participated in a trilateral meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of Romania Nicusor Dan, held in Odessa, in the context of the Ukraine - South-East Europe Summit.

The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening regional cooperation at a time when security, peace and stability in Eastern Europe are under significant challenges.

The presidents addressed topics related to enhancing resilience against external threats, advancing energy and transport interconnection projects, stimulating investments and developing economic ties between the three countries. All these initiatives are aimed at bringing more security and a better living standard for the region's citizens.

"When Chisinau, Kyiv and Bucharest act together, we can build more than just infrastructure or joint projects - we can provide safety for our people, hope for a peaceful future and a clear path towards a united, free and democratic Europe," said President Maia Sandu.

The three officials agreed to continue discussions in the trilateral format, aiming to deepen regional partnership and advance joint efforts for peace, development and European integration.
