Moldovan, Bulgarian presidents visit Taraclia
Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, along with President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev today went to Taraclia, where they conveyed to the Bulgarian community a congratulatory message on the Day of Bessarabian Bulgarians, the presidential press service has reported.
Moldova has become ‘’at home’’ for the local ethnic Bulgarians for more than two centuries. ‘’Together, we have been happy, worked and overcame difficulties. Together, united, we want to edify a prosperous and peaceful future in the family of the European Union. The ethnic group, language and faith can and must get us closer, not divide us. We are everybody part of the state Republic of Moldova and we can succeed only together,’’ President Maia Sandu said in her message.
The head of state congratulated the members of the Bulgarian community on the fact that they had been able to preserve and convey, from generation to generation, their cultural heritage. The president also appreciated their effort re-bring the Bulgarian language in the active circulation, as well as to learn the Romanian language.
‘’I come with wishes of peace, good health and well-being to the entire Bulgarian community from Moldova,’’ Maia Sandu also said in Taraclia.
