Moldovan PM visits Giurgiulești - Galați border crossing point
Chisinau, June 5 / MOLDPRES /- Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița paid a visit to Giurgiulești - Galați border crossing, during which she was informed about the implementation of the decisions of the Commission for Emergencies on facilitating border traffic, especially the recent decision to cross priority trucks for perishable goods and those without cargo, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The official also spoke to truck drivers, stationed at customs, about the problems they face as a result of the disruption of logistics chains caused by the war in Ukraine.
Gavrilita spoke with Customs Service head Igor Talmazan, and the head of the Border Police, Rosian Vasiloi, about collaborating with Romanian counterparts to facilitate the passage of trucks and create favorable conditions for drivers.
In this context, several exchanges of views took place, the topic being discussed at the meeting of the Moldovan-Romanian Government Commissions on foreign policy to identify the necessary solutions.
"The government has adopted several measures to facilitate and promote the export of perishable agricultural products originating in the Republic of Moldova, facilitated crossing of the border of unloaded trucks. We will continue to make the necessary effort to remove all impediments for exporters ", Gavrilița said.
