New working session of special commission on reintegration policies of Moldova

On October 1, 2026, a meeting of the Special Commission on Parliamentary Monitoring and Control over the Implementation of the Reintegration Policy of the Republic of Moldova took place, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valerii Chiveri, representatives of the Reintegration Policies Bureau, and national institutions in the energy sector.

During the meeting, Chiveri reported on the current situation in the country’s eastern districts, the dynamics of interaction between Chișinău and Tiraspol at the level of political representatives and sectoral working groups, pressing issues concerning human rights, and ensuring the proper functioning of Romanian-language schools in the Transnistrian region. Information was also presented on the implementation of the provisions of Law No. 67/2026 on the establishment of the Convergence Fund and the amendment of certain normative acts, including those related to value-added tax and excise duties.

The actions taken to implement the Action Plan for Preparing for the 2026–2027 Heating Season, approved by Government Decision No. 509/2026 were also discussed, particularly those concerning the supply of natural gas during the cold season to residents of the Security Zone and the Transnistrian region.
