The presidency, For a Europe of Peace and Resilience, will focus on promoting peace, supporting mechanisms for a just peace in Ukraine, and strengthening democratic resilience on the continent. During the discussions, the President welcomed the continuous support provided by the Council of Europe for building institutional capacities and advancing judicial sector reforms outlined in the Council of Europe's Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2025–2028. This document is an essential tool for strengthening the independence and integrity of the judiciary, aligning legislation with European standards, and enhancing the transparency and accessibility of state institutions for the benefit of citizens. The reforms, eagerly awaited by society and supported by European partners are essential for advancing the EU accession process.
