DOC Former Romanian Foreign Minister - decorated with Order of Honor

Chisinau, June 21. /MOLDPRES/- Former Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu was decorated with the Order of Honor by President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu. The presidential decree in this regard was published in the Official Journal today.

Under the document, the distinction was awarded "as a sign of high appreciation for the contribution to the consolidation of relations between the Republic of Moldova and Romania and to strengthening the Strategic Partnership between the two states, as well as supporting the European path of our country and promoting common interests within the EU institutions".

A few days ago, Bogdan Aurescu completed his second term as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, after a new Government was appointed in Bucharest, led by Marcel Ciolacu. Currently, Bogdan Aurescu holds the position of advisor for foreign policy to the President of Romania.
