European Parliament Committee on International Trade approved new 145 million euro macro-financial assistance for Moldova
Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- European Parliament Committee on International Trade approved today the new macro-financial assistance of 145 million euros for Moldova. Last week, the budget committee also approved the aid. MEP Siegfried Mureșan made the statement.
After the approval of the aid in the two specialized commissions, the final vote for this assistance will be given in the plenary session of the European Parliament in May.
"By the timely adoption of macro-financial assistance in the European Parliament, we ensure that the money will reach Moldova by the end of the year, in two installments that will be transferred in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2023", said Mureșan.
"It is important to offer the Government of the Republic of Moldova the necessary financial aid as soon as possible to ensure the macroeconomic stability of the country, to take support measures for the people and to continue the reforms necessary for European integration", the MEP said.
