Moldovan electoral body approves programme for organizing snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July
Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a today’s meeting, approved the calendar programme for the carrying out of the actions of organizing the snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July 2021.
The document establishes the actions due to be undertaken to organize the ballot, the terms of their implementation, as well as the decision-makers in charge of each action, proceeding from the competences of the main subjects involved in the electoral process. The calendar programme is to be submitted for informing and carrying out, within the limit of the competences, to the political parties, law courts, central and local public authorities, as well as the electoral bodies, after their creation.
According to the provisions of the calendar programme, the electoral period for the snap parliamentary polls starts on 5 May. In the context, a decision was approved on the distribution of the powers of the CEC members on the electoral period.
Also today, the Commission members ruled to register an electoral block and the providing of mandates of local councilor in five settlements of Moldova.
