Moldovan president received at Elisabeta Palace from Bucharest

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, on a working visit to Romania, was received by Custodian of the Crown of Romania Margareta at the Elisabeta Palace today.  

At entrance into the Elisabeta Palace, Maia Sandu was met by the Custodian of the Crown of Romania and the Price Consort and afterwards she was invited to the Hall of Kings.  

Maia Sandu planted an oak-tree in the garden of the Elisabeta Palace and was subsequently invited by the Royal Family to a lunch.   

In the end of the visit, the Moldovan president will sign in the Golden Book of the Elisabeta Palace, opened in 1937.   

Representatives of Moldova’s Presidency, Moldovan Ambassador to Romania Victor Chirila, members of Moldova’s Embassy in Bucharest take part in the visit.   

In the afternoon, President Maia Sandu will participate in a trilateral meeting, hosted by Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis at the Cotroceni Palace. Germany’s Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, on a visit to Bucharest, will participate in the event.
