Parliamentary elections to be held in Moldova on September 28; Parliament Speaker says these elections to de defining for country's history
The parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on September 28, 2025. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, along MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party, today registered a draft resolution proposing the holding of parliamentary elections on this day.
In a message to the citizens, the speaker emphasized that this autumn's elections would be defining for the history of our country.
“Even if you have heard this many times over the years, these elections are truly crucial. Either we give up everything, destroy all that we have achieved on the European path of modernization and block any chance of joining the European Union, or we move forward on the way of development and peace. Our aim for these elections is to make sure that we are not diverted from the path to peace and development, that the country does not return under directives from the Kremlin, and that we maintain our sovereignty and freedom,” said Igor Grosu.
The last parliamentary elections were held in Moldova in 2021.
