
Speaker of Grand National Assembly of Turkey to pay official visit to Moldova
Chisinau, 14 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop will be on an official visit to Moldova on 15-16 September. The official will be accompanied by head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Turkey - Moldova Mehmet Altay.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the official visit's agenda includes meetings with country's leadership: Speaker Igor Grosu, President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița. Turkish officials will also meet with several heads of standing commissions, including Doina Gherman, Dumitru Alaiba, Lilian Carp and Olesea Stamate, as well as representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova and Investment Agency of Moldova.
Turkish officials will visit Gagauzia on 16 September.
The Republic of Moldova set diplomatic relations with the Republic of Turkey in 1992, and 68 bilateral agreements have been concluded so far.
