
CNA detained two men on 1,200 euros bribe for driving license
Chisinau, 9 September /MOLDPRES/- Two men were detained by CNA officers after they asked for and received 1,200 euros bribe under the pretext that they could help a candidate get a driving license.
According to the CNA, they claimed to have influence over public persons of the Department of registration of vehicles and that they can determine the officials to organize successful examination of theoretical and practical exam, with the subsequent issuance of the driving license.
The case was reported to the CNA and the men were detained and are under criminal investigation for trafficking in influence.
Criminal Code provides for a penalty of a fine of up to 200,000 lei or imprisonment from 2 to 7 years.
