Chisinau, Nov. 26 /MOLDPRES/- All roads in the country are accessible in winter conditions. In this context, the police presented several recommendations for drivers to drive safely.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), there are no blocked routes in the country. At the same time, for the safety of the citizens, the law enforcement officers recommend them to avoid going on long journeys.
Due to the blizzard, the road condition can change suddenly. "If you drive through areas affected by snow, do not park on the routes, to allow the intervention of snow removal equipment. In the event of a traffic jam, to avoid the risk of snow in the field, do not continue moving and choose to retreat to the localities. Drive at low speed, avoid unsafe maneuvers, especially overtaking, and respect the distance between cars," the IGP said.
The police also urged parents to take care of their children.
If you are in trouble, notify the nearest police or call 112.
The State Hydrometeorological Service has announced yellow and orange code of complicated weather conditions for 25-26 November.
