Large drone found on shore of lake in central Moldova district; police cordon off area
The police have been notified by a hunter who noticed a drone approximately 2.5 meters long on the shore of a lake at the entrance to the village of Nucareni, central Telenesti district.
According to the police, the area was immediately cordoned off and specialists from the technical-explosive unit are to examine the object in detail, in order to determine its nature and any potential risks.
The authorities urge citizens not to approach aircraft or any other suspicious devices that have fallen to the ground and to immediately inform the police by calling 112.
This is not the only incident of this kind. At the end of the last year, a Gherbera-type drone was identified near the locality of Pepeni, Sangerei district.
