
Law enforcers issued 295 more reports for electoral corruption
Chisinau, Oct. 25 /MOLDPRES/- Police officers have issued 295 reports for passive electoral corruption, 163 of which have already been sent to the National Anti-Corruption Center for examination and adoption of decisions.
According to police, so far more than 520 people have been investigated for electoral corruption.
IGP chief Viorel Cernăuțeanu urged citizens yesterday to be aware of the risks and work with law enforcement bodies to stop the illegal process.
The IGP leadership announces that the law enforcers are taking actions to investigate people who accepted money in exchange for votes, as well as those who influenced the processes to corrupt voters.
"We encourage citizens to be vigilant and report any attempt of electoral corruption. Only through everyone's active involvement can we ensure a fair and transparent election without illegal influence," the statement issued by the police said.
