Moldovan capital's city hall allocates 80 million lei to for comp0ensations at public utilities
Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 10,000 Chisinau residents will receive compensations for public utilities and energy resources, without knocking at doors of civil servants.
The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, has informed that the people who till 2019 had received compensations for public utilities and energy resources must not repeatedly submit applications to ask for this service. There are 10,000 such people. Ceban noted that the disadvantaged people, with residence in Chisinau, would benefit from 40-per cent compensations from the cost of the invoice in the 2020-2021 heating season.
At the same time, the official specified that only the people who are introduced in this payments system in 2021 would have to send applications to demand this service.
The beneficiaries of compensations are the families whose incomes were lower than 3,000 lei/month for each person in the last 12 months, as well as the young families (till 35 years of age), with the monthly overall income of up to 5,000 lei.
Eighty million lei is budgeted for compensating the spending for public utilities and energy resources for the disadvantaged people.
