Over 2,000 children from Ukraine registered in schools, kindergartens of Moldova in this academic year
Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - Over 2,000 pupils and children of pre-school age from Ukraine have been registered in education institutions from Moldova in this school year.
More exactly, 1,542 pupils were registered in 221 general education institutions, of whom 772 pupils study in the I-IV forms, 706 – in the V-IX forms and 64 – in the V-XII forms. At the same time, 582 Ukrainian children were registered in 199 kindergartens.
The Education and Research Ministry has created the conditions necessary for the pupils from Ukraine to be able to continue their education online, at the education institutions which they attended in their native settlements.
With the help of international partners, during this academic year, another ten education institutions will arrange rooms meant for the online education, the total number being 79.
More children from Ukraine were included in education at schools from Moldova during the last school year too.
