
Rehabilitation of square of Metropolitan Cathedral Nastrea Domnului in Moldovan capital started
Chisinau, Oct. 25 /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall initiated the rehabilitation works of the Square of the Metropolitan Cathedral Nastrea Domnului.
According to the municipality, until the start of the works, the local authorities completed the necessary documents and coordination with the Ministry of Culture, as the Public Garden of the Cathedral has the status of an architectural monument, included in the National Register of Monuments.
The rehabilitation project will be carried out in stages. The initial stage includes: the installation of the irrigation system, the rehabilitation of public lighting and pillars, the installation of the video surveillance system, as well as the repair of the ponds.
The project amounts to 14 million lei (about 700 thousand euros). Half of the amount will be covered by the donation offered by the Buzău County Council in Romania, based on a Cooperation Agreement.
