Moldovan Public Services Agency director says public services must be provided without loss of time, money, nerves

Chisinau, 12 December /MOLDPRES/ - The foremost goal of the Public Services Agency (ASP) consists in establishing optimized procedures for the benefit of the citizen, without loss of time, money and nerves. ASP director Serghei Railean has made statements to this effect in an interview given with the MOLDPRES Agency.  

“Set up in the last summer, the Public Services Agency should become a modern and efficient public institution, with qualitative service, just as it is practiced in more European states. We have a lot of work to do in order to digitalize the services, remove a string of documents, so that the citizen comes only one time to the Agency, with one document,” Serghei Railean noted.  

The official specified that, to provide modern and qualitative services, decision-makers ruled that the Agency works according to the principles of single window. “This is a very important detail, first of all for citizens, so that they do not face the situation to become messengers between institutions. A first step to this end was the opening of the first multi-functional centre in Straseni; yet, in the long run, we plan to open such structures in all district centres and three ones in the Moldovan capital,” the ASP director said.

The government created the Public services Agency this year, in accordance with the strategy on public administration reform for 2016-2020 and the action plan on the reform of modernization of public services for 2017-2021. The Agency took over the powers of the state enterprise CRIS Registru, state enterprise State Registration Chamber, state enterprise Cadastru, the Registrar’s Office and Licensing Chamber.
