Moldovan top court's president resigns

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - President of the Constitutional Court (CCM) Tudor Pantiru resigned from office today.

According to CCM, Pantiru offered resignation on his own initiative, for personal reasons.  

Thus, starting from 1 February, till the election of a new president of the Court, a CCM judge, Aurel Baiesu, will hold this position.   

Tudor Pantiru was appointed judge of the Constitutional Court under a decision by the Superior Council of Magistracy from 12 February 2013. On 12 May 2017, Pantiru was elected president of the Court.
