Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs and ministers will convene at a joint working meeting on 6 February. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu made statements to this effect at a news briefing today.
According to Candu, the participants in the meeting will set the priorities for 2018. The speaker also said that, at the parliament’s standing bureau, he would suggest that the first plenary meeting of the spring session be held just next week.
The speaker noted that today he had had a working meeting with the heads of the standing commissions. “At the meeting, we reviewed the achievements for 2017, as well as the debts in terms of implementation of the Association Agreement and parliamentary hearings. Also, each commission unveiled one plan with priorities for this year,” Candu said.
The official also said that the implementation of a new strategy on considering older draft laws had been brought for discussion today too. “We discussed a new issue for the parliament – a new methodology of ex post parliamentary control. It refers to the laws which have already a certain length of existence of at least three years. We are set that, at this parliamentary session, along with the civil society, identify 2-3 laws with impact in the society and which are up-to-date, so that they go through the new methodology. It is about a much more comprehensive and complicated control,” Andrian Candu added.
