Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- All routes in the country are practicable and there are no traffic jams. The head of the State Road Administration’s operational service, Sergiu Capatina, made the statement today.

During the night, patrol, snow removal and anti-ice works were carried out on national roads. “There were 51 special machines and over 100 workers. Road workers used over 150 tons of anti-skid material. At present, all road sectors are monitored,” he said.

All the people inside were out of danger. The situation is monitored by the specialists, and citizens are asked to call emergency services when they are at risk,” Puscasu said.

The press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate, Natalia Golovco, said that there are currently no national roads with traffic interrupted by the weather. “Patrol officers are on all routes in the country to streamline the traffic and not to allow some unpleasant incidents. At the same time, we recommend drivers to keep a greater distance between cars, do not drive at excessive speed and not set off if they do not have a winter-equipped car,” Golovco said.

At present, all localities in the country are reconnected to electricity.

According to the Border Police, the activity of the customs posts Cosauti and Soroca remains to be stopped due to ice bridges.

The head of the Sate Hydrometeorological Service, Ghenadie Rosca, said that the snow will fall throughout the country. “In the coming days, the air temperatures will rise. On 4 March, night temperatures will oscillate between -10 and -15 degrees, and during the day more than 0 degrees,” he said.
