Control to be temporarily suspended at Bulgaria's border checkpoints

17:20 | 26.03.2018 Category: Official

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) of Moldova has informed that, on the period 8 April (20:00) – 10 April (8:00), the Bulgarian authorities instructed the carrying out of maintenance technical works at the customs integrated information system from Bulgaria.

The MAEIE public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service said that, on the aforementioned period, all Bulgaria’s border checkpoints (customs checkpoints) at the entrance in/exit from the country will work in exceptional regime, given the procrastination/turning more difficult of the customs procedures when crossing the Bulgarian border and respectively, the possibility of the extension of the waiting time.

Thus, MAEIE recommends that Moldova’s citizens and transport companies intending to travel to/through Bulgaria are informed about the conditions specific for the border checkpoint on the route, by taking into account the additional reserve of waiting time.
