Moldovan meteorologists announce nice weather for Easter days

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced nice weather, without precipitation, for the days to come. Thus, air temperatures up to 21 Celsius degrees are expected in Moldova on 8 and 9 April, when Easter is celebrated.

According to meteorologists, the same air temperatures will be maintained in the first of the next week as well. The weather is to be cooler in northern Moldova. Till 12 April, the average air temperature in Moldova is to vary between +4 - +9 degrees at night and +16 - +21 degrees during the day, with variable cloud and no precipitation.

At the same time, hydrologists informed about a Yellow Code of floods till 20 April. The phenomenon is triggered by the increase in the overflow of water in the Costesti-Stanca water storage reservoir up to 400 metres/second. On 4-20 April, the water level is to rise against the level of 4 April on the following sectors: Costesti town – Ungheni city - by 2.5-3.5 metres; Ungheni – Leova – by 2-3 metres, Leova – Prut river mouth – by 1.5 – 2.5 metres.
