Joint customs control starts at border crossing point Kuchurgan-Pervomaysk today

Chisinau, 18 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, drew attention to the fact that the joint customs control had started at the border crossing point Kuchurgan-Pervomaysk today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

According to the information unveiled, the control process takes place with no incidents, with the customs procedures for the first vehicles already carried out. “This is a transition period also for the economic agents which are still not registered here, in Chisinau. On this period we provide them, they have possibility to register and further enjoy every comfort offered by this joint control point,” Prime Minister Pavel Filip said.   

In accordance with the agreement reached with the Ukrainian side, the PM asked for speeding up the process of extending the joint control at all the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border checkpoints, especially on the central segment of the frontier. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko promulgated the law on the ratification of the agreement last week, in the presence of Prime Minister Pavel Filip, on a visit to Kiev.    

Also, the PM thanked the customs officers, border policemen and patrol inspectors, who worked on the period of the holidays, for having ensured public order and the easing of the traffic in customs and on national roads.
