About 10 localities disconnected from electricity due to strong wind

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- About 10 localities in five districts of the country were disconnected from electricity due to strong wind.
The head of the RED Union Fenosa’s foreign relations and communication department, Vasile Gribincea, said that the affected localities are mainly in the centre of the country.
“It is about localities from Ștefan Vodă, Strășeni, Nisporeni, Ialoveni and Cimișlia districts. Disconnections were announced in the second half of yesterday, with the wind upgrading. Over 30 mobile teams were on the ground and fixed the defects in the evening. There were 17 wire breaks in all. The works are going on today,” Gribincea said.
People are urged to bypass electric conductors falling accidentally to the ground or hanging on pillars or trees. “Citizens are urged to mark the site of electrical conductors and secure them until electricians intervene thus to restrict the access of people and domestic animals to the risk of electric shock. You can inform the electricity supplier about any incident to: 022-43-11-11,” he said.
The yellow code of strong wind expired today. For the next days, meteorologists forecast +25 degrees during the day and +5 degrees at night.
