Firemen establish reason for fire at Zoology Institute from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 16 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Anti-fire Experimental Laboratory has established the most probable reason for a fire that occurred at the Zoology Institute. The fire appeared in the wake of short circuit in the electric network of feeding the system of retranslation of a mobile telephony operator.

The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Liliana Puscasu, said that the IGSU employees came up with a conclusion after the carrying out of the static and dynamic investigation of the place of the fire.  

‘’According to specialists from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the fire occurred most probably in the wake of a short circuit in the electric network of feeding the system of retranslation of a mobile telephony operator. The conclusions by specialists was included in the conclusion on the investigation of the fire on the Academiei Street 1 from the capital and was submitted to the law-enforcement bodies,’’ Puscasu said.     

The roof of the Zoology Institute was fully burnt on 20 April, this year. Over 100 firemen intervened with 14 special vehicles in the extinguishing of the fire, seen at a distance of several districts.
