Deputy PM meets Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, had a meeting today with the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Michael Scanlan, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.

The officials discussed preparations for official meeting in "5+2" negotiation format on 29 – 30 May 2018 in Rome, Italy. It was specified importance of ensuring continuity in negotiations and delivering concrete results in implementation of protocol decisions signed by Chisinau and Tiraspol in November 2017 and on 24 April 2018.

The two officials also referred to dynamics of working groups. In this respect, Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, pointed out , importance of starting , work of , human rights working group, , composition of which was recently approved by Chisinau, with proposal to convene a joint meeting in Rome with participation of experts from both banks of the Dniester river.

Also, there was a review of progress made in case of the Latin-script schools in the Transnistrian region, apostille of diplomas of neutral studies issued by University Taras Shevchenko in Tiraspol, agricultural fields in the Dubasari district, free movement on bridge between Gura Bacului and Bacioc localities, organisation of interaction in electronic communications and cars with plates from the left bank of the Dniester river. It was reiterated obligation to fully complete the phase of solving these issues.

There was also discussed the situation within Security Zone (ZS) area, pointing to necessity to respect the commitments assumed previously, including restoration of the bridge infrastructure between Gura Bacului and Bacioc localities and facilitating free movement on it.
