Candidate of Our Party wins in local elections in Balti municipality

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - The candidate of Our Party, Nicolai Grigorisin, today won in the new local elections in the Balti municipality.
After the processing of 100 per cent of the official reports, Grigorisin picked up about 62 per cent of the votes, which means that the Our Party’s representative won in the local polls in the first round.
Nicolai Grigorisin is followed by the candidate of the Party of Socialists, Alexandru Usatii, for whom over 19 per cent of the voters gave their suffrages.
About 37,000 of the Balti residents participated in the elections, which accounts for almost 35 per cent of the voters.
